Everyone has needs and when the needs become extravagant there becomes war. Many wars are started because of someone’s needs. In the book, when Eva and Nell have everything, it tells that Eva needs her music and dance studio as Nell needs her books and quiet time. When their parents died they got hit in the face by reality and noticed that all the things their parents did for them are now gone, like; paying the bills, cook, clean, etc. they are slowly losing everything the only need they really have is to cherish the love they have for each other. We can see that they realize that everything is going down hill but why can’t they find food other than in their pantry? Their friendship grows stronger as their trust for others grows weaker. We really do take everything for granted, I no I do. But when all are needs are taken from us what are we going to do? Start another war?

Groups and clubs that are in schools should not be able to discriminate against others that wants to join even if they don't follow everything the group does and says, that's why there are clubs and groups off of school campus that are not school related, in example, church groups that have nothing to with universities should have more say in who they would like to not be there, but even then it's not right. Christians or Catholics or any other religion should have open arms to any one and everyone. The fact that Christian clubs on college campuses are rejecting and discriminating gays or people that don't practice, they obviously don't fully understand their religion. Since i went to catholic school for the first 9 years of school i learned that no matter what or who you are we always open our doors to anyone who is willing to learn and be apart of our churches, groups and clubs. To me it's almost disgusting that people care so much about what other people think and what they practice, no one should care about that stuff. We have freedom of speech so why not use it.

Are lies ok?

It’s not that we “expect” people to lie to us but if it’s reasonable than I think it’s ok, not all the time and about everything. For example, when some women get pregnant and start to show they don’t want to be told they look big and fat they want to be told that they look gorgeous and doesn’t look like a fat cow. Men would be in big trouble if no one lied in the world. Women rely on their man for those little things they say about us looking beautiful even when we aren’t or feel don’t. Little white lies like that I think are okay other than that I grew up not being able to lie. My mom was very smart and up to date on everything. If she asked me a question about something that meant she already knew the answer. My dad always says " Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story"

Corporate Spending

Money and politics are everywhere, all around us. Having corporations that have a lot of money means a big benefit for themselves. If politics didn't involve “money” than people would be left confused. Having freedom of speech gives them an advantage since they have the same rights individuals. The decision being 5/4 left people and corporations wondering but that still won’t let it bother them too much. Giving them a limit, however, may lead to many political arguments.

I understand that corporations are treated as “individuals” but how can they when they have so many people pushing and running out small/family owned businesses because they have more money and seem to have more trends going than those small businesses. Having money always gives those who have it the bigger advantage. It’s not right.
